It's hard to believe our Kane is almost 13. With a life expectancy of 8 years, Kane is a miracle. He is still super healthy and active, and we are thankful for him everyday. I let Henry walk him home today. He is still crazy on the first half of his walk, but takes a more manageable pace home. Henry has taken to saying "Best day ever" thanks to Elena and Tangled. I'm switching it to Best Dane ever, because he is.

Time flies
Ok, last Bernd post, I promise. I guess I need to get down there more often. I passed on a pair of Paul Frank sunglasses from way back. So far back that I found a pic of me and the girls that must be 10 years old. Can we stop time please? 'cause pics like this kill me. I love my girls even if I can't pic them up anymore.
Room Redo
Time for a room redo. The girls were so excited. I took a picture of their room and they played with the color while I altered it in photoshop. Ah, technology. They both agreed on a greeny blue, but Kel wanted pink stripes, and Claire wanted lime green. So, we did both. They have such a refined color palette for tweens. Thanks to Helen's pantone book and Home Depot's color matching skills, we had their exact colors. They helped roll on paint, and watch Henry while Helen and I taped a gazillion stripes. It turned out great! Can't wait to do the closet next time!

Bernd Animal Park
Who needs elephants when you have chickens, turtles, doggies, fish, and parrots? Henry loved them all!
Chili hung out for the week. She's a sweet girl, which is good, 'cause Beck isn't fond of 2 year olds.
Charlie is Josh's new parrot. H loved watching him, and letting him out of his cage without permission.
Look close, that is Josh, and he is smiling. This is the only picture I got of the now giant 15 year old.
Spiky legged Hollis and Louis.
and spiky dinosaur cactus. I love!
The Wild Animal Park
Our whatever they are calling it these days. It features mainly African animals and was set up as a breeding park for the zoo. The girls wanted to take H, and he loved it, even if it was blazing hot. I think his highlight was the goats, figures. With Claire and Mark's goat love, I should have expected it. He took a huge digger in the goat corral, I couldn't help but laugh, until I noticed the bruise under his eye. Bad Mommy. He recovered quickly. He was fairly blaize about seeing new animals, but then talked non stop about seeing elephants, rhinos, lizards, lots of birds, and all their legs. And of course, he loved being with Kelly and Claire.
Belles
Big kitty
Claire looks too grown up for my liking in this one, even if she is sitting in a stroller.
Mommy, it's a goat!!!
Big lizard.
They have a real varmint problem in the store.
Exhausted boy, big bruise.
