my friend Elena is coming to dinner

Keiran was out of town, so we invited the gang over for dinner, along with Roger to fill in as their psuedo dad for the evening. Henry was so excited. He woke up from his nap and announced "My friend Elena is coming to dinner. We're going to play toys! We're going to share!". They did a good job playing toys and sharing. The evening started with some skinny dipping in Henry's pool.

Myles did some engineering.

Elena perfected naked basketball. She's got pretty good aim!

Kane makes an excellent shield for tiny people.

While Banjo makes and excellent Bullseye.

The night ended with 4 happy campers watching Bubble Guppies. Goodnight!

Fun with Elena

I took Elena to the park so that Carrie could prepare for the Myles big first birthday party!  Henry and Elena always have a good time.

Busy, busy, busy

The race towards turning 2 is in full swing. I've got projects going left and right, plus papers to grade, wedding invite quotes to finish, and a new logo job in the works. Thankfully, carrie let me camp out and paint at her place. It's much easier to get things done when Henry is entertained. He was so tuckered out he fell asleep on the couch.

After nap we headed to Hampa's, so H could play and I could work. H always loves his park time. And checking out trucks with Hampa. He came home and actually requested bed! Sign of a good day.

Myles... And Elena

Henry loves Elena, and will always be excited to see her, but there has been a recent sea change. When I tell Henry that we are going to go see his friends, he immediately says "Myles!!!!". It's a subtle shift from the kid I poke in the eyes, to the kid I like to play with. I'm sorry E, but it seems H is choosing teams. Besides, Myles has much better toys! I'm just happy he enjoys playing with such intelligent, well adjusted, bpa free kids!
