Warm Welcome

Henry is not known for his enthusiastic greetings. In fact he will usually flat out ignore me when I get home. I have to re-earn his affection.

Today, he was out for a walk with grandma when I got home from work. When he walked on and saw me, I got a "mommy!" at full volume, arms out stretched, running at full speed! Ahh love!

"noke" (milk) and Gabba were then requested by my still snotty nosed kid. I don't know if it's his cold clouding his judgement, but I'll take this new form of welcome home any day!

Bee Healthy

Henry is still battling his cold.  His cough is a little scary.  Thanks to all his birthday presents he stayed busy all day and didn't do too much complaining.  In spite of his quarantine he did make one new friend.  He was fascinated with this bee.  He must have watched him for 15 minutes. I love the way his little brain works.

Cuteness moment of the day, as I was making grilled cheese sandwiches, he looked up at me and said, "Mommy, no witches!" <3

Bring on the Germs

Well, all the fun and lack if sleep caught up with the little guy. Poor kid. By the time I got home from work, he seemed to be doing better, but did manage to cough/puke on me twice. Yuck!!!! Nothing a little coloring and yoga can't cure. Dub dub, random word of the day will fix anything. Maybe a full night of sleep too, please, full night! Fingers crossed!

He's a very careful artist.

Well, maybe not too careful. Washable markers are our friends.

Yoga boy, stretch those legs!

Disneyland Birthday!

You would have thought that after going to bed at 9 the day before, Henry would sleep like a log, but he had other plans.  After a fitful night of sleep, we headed to Disneyland!  Thanks to my friend Peter for signing us in!  That place is pricey!  Mark had to leave early due to his crazy amount of work right now, so luckily we were able to twist my dad's arm into coming with us.  Carrie and crew also came to celebrate the big day!  Henry and Elena held hands the whole time!  Heartmeltingly sweet!  They even smooched a few times (both have colds now, oops).  We all had a wonderful, and exhausting day, and Dad got a new buddy!

the boys crashed
Dad ended up with Myles, Carrie with Henry.

I'm 2, well tomorrow

Howdy! Henry is almost 2!  That means lots of crafting, cupcakes, friends, family, and cowboy food! It may have been a rough couple of days leading up to the big event, but the whole day was a smashing success!  Henry had a wonderful time playing with all his friends and cousins. Thank you so much to Carrie, Grandma Donna, Auntie Donna, Diane, Kim, Grandma Darla, and Auntie Lori for all the extra help!  You're assistance was soooo appreciated!  Thank you all for coming and celebrating our special little boy!  We are truly blessed to have you all in our lives!

Little boy, we love you more and more everyday!

Game on!

Excuse the grainy shot, i'm too busy to take my usual thousand

Birthday party is a go! Henry's fever broke yesterday, but I feared it would pop back up on the middle of the night. He woke up happy, and ready to party! He keeps saying "birthday party, cake, present, Lori, orange.". Not sure where he is getting this Lori orange thing, but it's nice that his big birthday present request is an orange. I'm sure next year will be a different story. Alright, gotta go and make up a day.

Worse than rain.

Fever!!! I'm not sure what poor Henry's got but i'm pretty bummed about the timing. I'm stuck trying to figure out whether to move his birthday party, or to just trust he'll be ok. I'm going with school rules, if he has a fever 24 hours before the party, it's postponed, if not, party on. Pray for health!!!!

Those pesky molars are a different story! I wish these teeth would just finish coming through already. I first thought that was the cause of his fever, but when it hit 102, I knew it was something else. Poor kid has his hand jammed in his mouth at all times. His bottom left seems to be popping through. Hopefully, the rest will follow.

Send us happy, healing thoughts today!!!
