woody and buzz

Banjo and Henry year three!  Thankfully Henry had the Woody shirt, and the rest of the costume came together.  And, even though Mark hates it when I dress up the dog, he couldn't help but think this is the cutest thing ever! Well, maybe he didn't use those words.

The Witching Hour

Every afternoon, there is a moment when everyone runs around in the backyard. The dogs get up after 20 hours of sleep, and Henry gets his last little bit of energy out. As a bonus, the light is usually perfect for pictures. :)
It's Henry's world, we just live in it.
Banjo makes an excellent cup holder!
Amazingly, she stayed put.

Henry and the pups

Henry loves his dogs. And for the most part, they love him. They are certainly more than tolerant of his antics. It's sweet to see him stop to give them hugs, in addition to sitting on top of them asking for rides. I'm sure there will be many more posts just like this, because it astonished me everyday.

Good News/Bad News

Good news, it looks like Banjo is going to be alright. She's still limping, but is putting pressure on that leg again. Keeping the crazy girl on bed rest was a little easier given my bad news.

I'm sick. It's spring break so it makes sense that I would get the flu that has been making it's way through my family. For those of you reading this without kids, enjoy your days of being able to have a true sick day where you get to sleep it off. I miss those kind of sick days. God bless Nick Jr and unopened birthday presents! Well, and when I do sleep it keeps Banjo off her leg. Bright side noted, bring on the theraflu.

The limp

Easter was very fun, and I'll post pictures as soon I upload them from my "real" camera. Right now I'm worried about my first baby, Banjo. She is limping around today. She was diagnosed with hip dysphasia as a puppy and will have episodes every now and then. After a few days of rest, she's usually up and at'em again. This is day one. I'm hoping and praying for a speedy recovery. I hate seeing my little girl in pain, and I miss my little bouncing shadow.

Henry sure knows how to make the dogs look good.

Henry is throwing a giant fit because he doesn't want to take a nap. Meanwhile, in our room, Banjo is peacefully sleeping next to me. The pups got a late breakfast, and not a single complaint.

Oh, no, I was just hit with fatal nose burning gas! I may have to retract this post!

Bite, bite, biting

Banjo loves to bite the rubber bands that eternally live on my wrist. Henry watched, and said "bite, bite, biting!". His change of tense surprised me. When did he pick that up? He uses past tense all times, but never changed it mid sentence. His annunciation is pretty good, and he keeps refining it. For instance, Henny, is now Henwy. Some of them make me sad. Mice, which used to be squeaks, are now mice. Mama became mommy long ago, but that was a tough one. He still says Draa ma (grandma), hampa, (grandpa), wooocy, (Lucy), aiked (naked), waasent (elephant), there are more, but these come to mind. I hope he keeps some of these up a little longer. For now I will treasure all his little saurus comments (dinosaur).

Henry loves his biting dog!

He does not love grass! His Papa has the same hatred of the prickly turf. There is an almost identical picture, minus the big smile, of Mark, as a kid. Like father like son I suppose!
