Joe Jost

We look Henry to our favorite hot dog joint.  He was not a fan of the hot dogs on rye, or the pickled eggs, but he was a huge fan of the root beer.  We passed a Krispy Kreme on the way home.  Mark asked H if we should pic up some donuts, and of course the answer was yes.  So, Henry's dinner consisted of pretzels, root beer, and a doughnut.  I'm sure it was all organic, full wholesome whole grain, and vitamin enriched, so we're good.  Right?

Photo Ap addiction

Is it bad that when I woke up and saw that Hipstomatic had an update my heart skipped a beat? That might mean NEW LENSE!!!! That dollar went quick, but it went towards a nifty new case, lens, and a flash I actually might use. An excellent investment in my book. I had to go around testing out the Wicker Park Instapak while finishing my second cup of coffee. The lens coats everything in gold, and reduces the contrast. The flash puts the contrast back. I'm not usually a flash fan, but this one I might throw into the rotation. We'll see. Here are some of my flash vs. no flash shots this morning.
My model was not very cooperative this morning, so I stuck to inanimate items.
It's been a good week for my obsession. Instagram and Hiptomatic updates. Time to put another 7,000 pictures in my album. Hopefully the rest of my 11 photo apps take time to update. I can't handle the excitement!

Kainny Loggins

Although, Kane is a very young 13, his sphincters do on occasion show their age.  Sometimes the exertion of getting his large frame up has an unwanted effect.  Every couple of weeks we find a tiny little present in the morning from our dear friend Kainny Loggins.  Always the sign that it's going to be a good day.

I love trains

I don't know what it is with boys and trains, but Henry is obsessed.  He never seems to tire of his many enineering duties.  I remember playing Thomas with little now 15 year old Josh.  Thankfully, Josh was willing to share the Thomas love 'cause those suckers cost a pretty penny! It's nice to be loved!

Watching the wheels go round and round

Henry's loves his best buddy Nicky.  He's our 12 year old neighbor and he adores Henry, too.  Nicky is a pro motorcyle/biking buddy, and he shows Henry all the ropes.  Nicky generously gave Henry the coolest little strider last year, and he seems to have finally mastered it.  He has learned  how to glide around on it, and started looking for pedals on last week.  Looks like it might be time for a big boy bike soon! I'm hoping for some time before he actually masters the ramps.

bath fun

Henry has always gone "swimming" on his tummy, but decided to switch it up and try his back.  In all honesty, I think he was just stalling bed time but it was pretty entertaining.  It was the first time his ears have been underwater.  He found this hilarious.

dueling banjos

Not this kind, the Deliverance kind.  Fun with a wheel barrow.  Good clean country fun.

What's black and white and completely angelic?

It's Henry, in black and white. They say pictures don't lie, good thing I'm a pretty competent editor. He has started asking for things by saying "Mommy, may I please have...."  So he does get some angel points for that.

Summer Storm

We had a surprise storm on Saturday morning. Henry just sat and watched it. Kane on the other hand, not a big fan. Thunder is not his friend. Poor big baby.

A lazy day followed. Love rainy days.

work week

I recently redesigned Becca Midwood's website, and we had plans to add a store.  Well, it's up now.  I lurve this firecracker girl print.  Go get one for yourself here.

This was actually last month's work for Mark, but it was published for Food & Wine Magazine this week.  I'm a fan, maybe I can talk him into making prints. hmmm.

you are.....

I just finished these for Henry's room. If I forget to tell him how I feel everyday, at least he will have a reminder. Plus, I love that the natural wood frames match the blocks. Hooray for ikea! Now if I could just a perfect photo where they all look straight...
